Navigating the website

The website contains digital images and transcriptions of the 1926 and 1927 diaries of Aloys Fleischmann (1910 – 1992). To access these:

  1. Go to the “View 1926 Diary” or “View 1927 Diary” menu.
  2. Select one of the subpages to view the diary entries by date or index. It may take a few moments for the images to load.
  3. Click a diary entry to access a large digital image and transcription of an individual diary entry.
  4. To navigate between diary entries, click on the arrows beneath the transcription.

The website also contains a gallery of supplementary digital images, which act as a pictorial guide to the 1926 and 1927 diaries. The original photographs were not necessarily taken in 1926 and 1927. In the images of the 1926 diary gallery, the number on the photograph tag indicates the position of the image in the gallery; the date on the tag refers to the relevant diary entry. Both the 1926 and 1927 galleries can be navigated by adapting the above four step method.
